Design Concept
The Hyper-Flo moves products at 800-2000+ fpm (4-10+ m/sec) by ultilizing high-speed ball transfers and an outside sidewall of motorized pulleys. The conveyed product glides over the pneumatic balls and is guided around the curve by the motorized pulleys.

Application Partners
The Hyper-Flo is currently in testing in the Portec R&D Center. Portec Flomaster invites Systems Integrators with Ultra High Speed Applications to partner with Portec to develop appropriate systems solutions.

New Innovations from Portec

Pneumatic Ball Transfers: The horizontal conveying surface has embedded pneumatic ball transfer units that are capable of sustained conveying speeds of over 4000 fpm (20m/sec). The loading carrying capacity of the ball transfers can be adjusted by varying the pressure of the compressed air. Both light weight products or heavy pallets can be conveyed. No air consumption is required if no load is on the conveyor.

Motorized Side Pulleys: The Werner 4.5” (114 mm) diameter side pulleys have internal motors. The motorized side pulleys power the product around the curve. The internal motor is designed for use with an AC inverter to match the speed of the incoming product. An innovative drive design eliminates the need for oil or gears.
